Why Calming Music ?
We here at Calming Music Weekly really enjoy listening to music of all kinds. We are very aware of the hectic rush of todays busy world. We love composing, recording, playing our instruments and the entire creation process. We are proud of our music and recognise that not everyone enjoys all styles of music (even though we do !!).
While we wish to make our music available to anyone who wants to listen, we are also very aware that there are many, many fine musicians in the world who also love their creation processes, their art, their culture, their styles, their genres.
We recognise that too much music from the one composer – even that of The Beatles, Beethoven, Miles Davis, Maceo Parker or Pink Floyd – can become a little underwhelming after a while. Some listeners can therefore become confused, dis-satisfied and uninspired.
As a result, we wanted to take a genre – Calming Music, or Relaxation Music – and mix it up a bit. A few songs from this composer, a few songs from that composer, followed by some more songs from someone else. By making the artistic creations of multiple musicians and composers available to our members, we sincerley hope that having something new and fresh to listen to will keep everyone coming back for more.
Like fine food, too much of one specific item on the menu becomes tedious and boring – even chocolate ! However, adding ice cream, strawberries, sprinkles and nuts into the mix in varying quantities and proportions can create something truly unique.
And so it is with CalmingMusicWeekly.com . Some of the composers, albums, songs and musicians you may be familiar with as they are quite well known within the calming music genre. Others you may not know, but they are just as good and just as keen to share their music with you.
Over the weeks and months and (hopefully) years we will make many calming and relaxing suggestions to you, the reader and listener. We will bring you relaxation articles, videos, ideas, suggestions and concepts. We will explore stress and anxiety, with the view of descreasing it considerably. We might delve into the ideas of meditation, calming down, relaxing in the millions of ways and options these can entail. “Different strokes for different folks” means that what might work for some might not work for others.
And we might even get distracted with explaining our marketing, our business concepts, our philosophies, our likes and dislikes about running a small business on the internet – not because we want to “sell you stuff”, but because we can all learn from each other. How does a musician promote their music in these fast paced internet world we now live in ?
We will listen to you as well – what does “calming music” mean to you ?
Please join in the discussions !
Thanks,
Matthew
