Calming Music for Sleep

Calming Music for Sleep

I was listening to the radio this morning and heard an advertisement for a performance coming soon that piqued my interest.

A quick search on the internet led me to Max Richter.

I had not heard of him until today, but I’m pleased I found him.

Max has created a most beautifully calming music album – called Calming Music for Sleep – and he is touring it live around the world.

The live shows start at 11pm or there abouts and go for 8 hours – with the idea that the audience falls asleep during the performance.

Here he talks a little about the concept and the music:

Here is the full album for your enjoyment !

I like the full, lush cellos in this exceptionally calming music by Max Richter – but there are other elements and instruments as well – violins and other strings, keyboards, pianos and electronic sounds.

Have a listen !

Thanks Max for sharing your music and I hope your live shows aren’t disturbed by snoring members  !

P.S.  What calming music – or music in general – do you listen to when you are trying to go to sleep ?
